I think that Taylor might be one of the luckiest kids in the Pacific NW!
Yesterday when we went to go get the mail, what is in the mailbox? A package from Amber of Confessions of a Crochet Addict. Right away Taylor saw the package and was asking if his name was on the label. Indeed, it was - Taylor Rogers.
And just what was in that package? BAM! This amazing lumberjack hat!
This AMAZING lumberjack hat was made by the lovely and ever-so-talented and generous Amber! I swear she never ceases to amaze and surprise me.
The hat is the neatest color, almost a dark mossy green, and it is the perfect size for Taylor's noggin. If you have ever seen my son, or pictures of my son, which I am sure you all have, you know that he's not ever going to get his head stuck in a staircase railing, a chair, or anything really, besides the neck holes in his shirts! The kid has a huge head. And the hat, it fit wonderfully! Can I mention that Amber has never had a head measurement of Taylor, and nor has she ever seen him in person, YET!? Amazing.
Amber will be posting the lumberjack hat in her Etsy shop soon. I wouldn't wait until she does. I would hop on over now and look at all the great goodies she has in her shop, or email her and do some custom work with her. She has taken care of MANY, MANY gifts for me this holiday season, and all year long, and I am always so impressed by how awesome her work is. Probably because she's so rad, too. It must be science. I am sure of it.
I will be taking more Taylor the Lumberjack pictures soon, so stay tuned. And Amber, thank you so much for making Taylor so happy! You're just the sweetest!

So thankful for my sweet son, Taylor! His sense of humor, warm heart and quirky smile melt my heart!
Happy Thanksgiving, Everyone!

I just wanted to take a few moments to share some pictures from our Sunriver mini-vacation that we took over the weekend.
Sunriver was amazing! It was my first trip there, but definitely not my last trip! It was about a 3-1/2 or 4 hour drive from Hillsboro, but so worth it! The drive over was beautiful, too, with snowy mountains and sometimes roads to enjoy! Usually I don't like the snow at all, but snow in Central Oregon is just fine with me, it's nice and powdery and beautiful, and I love it!
We were in Sunriver for my cousin Ryan's wedding on Saturday. It was the prettiest wedding I have ever been to - had so much fun! Taylor was one of two ring bearers (although he didn't really feel like walking down the aisle, he did sport his tux), so I have pictures to share.
We had so much fun playing in the snow, taking drives around Sunriver, sledding and more! I can't wait to go back!
So I should be doing laundry and all sorts of things that are boring, but need to get done when you come home from vacation, so I'll go do that and blog later.
PS: Thinking about merging this blog and Taylor's blog... just a thought. Does anyone know much about this?
I don't always make the best decisions or choices. It's not that I make awful choices, but sometimes making up my mind is hard, and I can be indecisive, or other times I don't say the right thing at the right time, or all the times I say something inappropriate right when the room goes quiet, but I did get something right, and it's made all the difference.
Want to know my best decision? Marrying Trask.
I can't imagine how different my life would be without Trask. It seems that I am not ever 100% sure on anything, but I know for a fact that we belong together, and I am so grateful that the person of my dreams was brought to me, and that I was smart enough not to mess anything up!
I love knowing that Trask is always going to be around for me and our family, and I love how much he cares. I can always count on him for a laugh, for a smile after a crummy day, and for a hug that seems to fix everything.
I can say with confidence that I made the right choice. I am so lucky to have found the love of my life, and so blessed that he loves me as much as I love him, even after knowing me, usually more than I know myself.
Trask! Thank you for everything! For the laughs, smiles, adventures and everything in-between. Thank you for making our marriage and our family a priority - it's so, so worth it! I adore you!
